Dental Implants

Implants are independent tooth or teeth replacements not reliant on any other tooth in the mouth. A dental implant is a two stage process where a titanium screw is placed in the jawbone by a Periodontist (gum specialist) or Oral Surgeon. This is then given time to heal and a crown or bridge can be placed on top of the implant. Dental implants are often an ideal way of replacing a missing tooth. Implants can also be used to support a removable denture. The titanium implants are lightweight, strong and biocompatible, which means they are not rejected by the body.
